Brand Story

Origin

Passing on the value of Noto to future generations

日本を代表する伝統工芸、輪島塗。
Wajima Nuri is one of Japan's most celebrated traditional crafts.

Each piece is brought to life through the hands of many artisans, with every stage of the process carefully passed from one artisan to the next. At the heart of this collaborative tradition was the Lacquer producers known as "塗師屋 ( Nushiya )" who brought artisans together, guided each piece from creation to completion, and carried finished Natural Lacquerware to people across Japan. In doing so, the Nushiya became the bridge between makers and users, sharing the craftsmanship, heritage, and spirit of Noto with those who would cherish it.

Inspired by this legacy, we named our brand "NUSHIYA". By carrying forward the "Nushiya" 's role of connecting artisans with those who appreciate their work, we strive to preserve and share the enduring value of Noto with future generations.
